Several airports across India and more than 300 schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email on Sunday, triggering extensive security sweeps by authorities. The threatening emails, sent in the early morning hours, claimed that explosives had been placed in various buildings and warned of disaster if demands were not met within 24 hours. Alarmed administrations immediately notified the police, leading to the rapid deployment of bomb disposal squads and fire services to the affected sites.
Major institutions targeted included Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and schools such as DPS R K Puram, Amity International, and Birla Vidya Niketan. Despite extensive searches at these and other locations, authorities reported that no suspicious objects were found and the threats were declared a hoax.
Investigators believe the emails were sent by a group or individual using the alias "Terrorizers111" and “the child of evil,” similar to previous hoax threats received in recent months. While police are working to trace the origins of the emails, preliminary assessments suggest they are part of a pattern of disruptive pranks targeting both educational institutions and public infrastructure, causing major inconvenience but no physical harm so far.
